Hi All,
I have only been here for a few days and already feel at home due to the warm welcome that I received from several of LJ’s members.
I own a small shop in southern lower Michigan, building everything from curios to kitchens with the main focus on designing and building furniture. I enjoy working with a large variety of hardwoods and exotics and feel very fortunate to have a very large lumber mill close by.( sometimes to close)
I started teaching woodworking classes about 4 years ago. Teaching is rewarding and challenging and I hope to continue to expand the classes that are offered.
This is my favorites time of year because I can work with all the doors and windows open. On the flip side, by mid-winter my 1500 sq ft shop can start to feel like working in a shoe box.
The warm weather makes it hard to concentrate on work and not day dream about all the great fishing and camping that we have here in Michigan.

Keith, thanks for the background info. It sounds like you will have quite a bit to contribute to this group. It is wonderful that you enjoy being able to pass along your talents through teaching others about woodworking. I am looking forward to seeing more of your projects posted.

Welcome, they are right, the site is addictive. Just came in from an overlength shift at work and still have to check just to see what everybody is up to and see the wonderful / talented projects being displayed. Can’t get enough of the site. Good to have you aboard.
