Micromesh newish to me what's it like

I have heard that there are some new to me wodturning abrasives micromesh and abranet any comments would be very welcome from those who have tried these I am thinking of both pen making whaich I am interested in these and general turning bowls etc both of which which I do a lot of.Durability is the main thing as these are not cheap.Alistair

Alistair, I’m not a turner but, I use micromesh on some of my projects. The stuff lasts quite a while. But, your are correct, it’s not cheap. I started with the sample box which was $50 I order single sheets now but very sparingly. It produces an excellent finish. It wouldn’t be bad for the pens…bowls might be another issue.
