Topic tags/keywords: shaping french provincial dresser legs plans techniques

Greetings fellow woodworkers. I’ve just learned of this unique site and have joined to share what I know and learn from those of you who know more than I do (probably most of you, judging by the projects pages). To begin my association, I seek advice on how to make legs for a French Provincial Dresser. My daughter is having her first child and has picked French Provinicial for her baby’s bedroom set style. The feet on the front legs flay out to the front and the sides in the picture of the dresser she has chosen. I’ve checked all of the plan sites trying to find a set of plans for the dresser with no luck. So I’m scaling it off of the picture and am probably going to be ok except for the pesky feet. I’m guessing I either start with thick stock or laminate some boards to the bottom of the corner posts and then shape the curved feet on the bandsaw. If anyone has a set of plans or some good advice that can save me some shop time figuring this out, I’d appreciate it. The baby is due Aug.15, and I’m starting to panic. Thanks. BobM

You might try Fine Woodworking. I just, today, bought the internet version of it and fine homebuilding as well. With this purchase you can search for articles that might pertain to what you need.
If not this project, then certainly your next.
