Topic tags/keywords: question

I recently got a new camera and now I haven’t been able to post any pictures. The camera is a Pansonic Lumix TZ5. It has 9.1 megapixels. When I try to post a picture I get a message that the site will only accept 3 megapixels. I have tried reducing the quality of the photos, but that didn’t help. Any suggestions? I’ve already given away my old camera so that is not an option Jim

Try reducing the size of the pictures.

You can see how to do it here: http://lumberjocks.com/GaryK/blog/8899

you will need to reduce the size of the picture using another software on your computer, such as Adobe Photoshop, Apple iPhoto/Aperture, Gimp (Free) or equivalent. I recommend not changing the resolution of the original picture – but make a copy and reduce the resolution on the copy – that way in the future – you’ll always have the original photo with the full resolution available.

Thanks for the help guys. If you see some birdhouses show up you’ll know that I figured out the directions.

For anyone who wants a really simple, reliable, free picture resizer program try:

http://bluefive.pair.com/updates.htm

Look for PIXresizer 2.0.4
