Topic tags/keywords: plane

I have a Millers Falls 4 Bullnose Rabbet Plane. I have owned it for about 10 years I got it in the box for 25 cents at a garage sale (TOOL GLOAT).

I sharpened up the blade using the MKII by Veritas using stones and 2000 grit paper. Shaved hair.

I scored the end of a piece of wood with a utility knife and attempted to rabbet the end of some pine.

It ended up looking horrible. I used it bevel down.

What did I do wrong?

Roper is right, I was seeing some pictures and the plane works with the blade bevel down.
