I pluged in my air compressor and it runs great until it reaches 45psi then it stops until I reset the built-in breaker. Does any one know what’s going on?

Sounds like a weak or defective breaker. Does it do this always at that pressure or is it after a certain amount of time or seconds of running that it trips?

Bad overload protector, defective pressure switch, bearings going south in the motor, lack of lubrication in the pump or pump going bad, clogged air inlet port… could be any number of things. Until you narrow it down with some testing, all you are going to get is guesses.
