I attended this auction today, virtually speaking.

I missed out on these:

That Delta sander I really wanted but their server(s) were so slow by the time I got connected and logged in they were passed that Lot and it went for $100. Argh! The two DP’s exceeded what I wanted to spend since I already have a VS one. But I tried.

I did get these:

If anyone wants to see what all they had here's a pdf with the list. Many sanders, a few tablesaws, an old DeWalt RAS, quite a few drill presses, a decent selection.

That’s the pitts!! :-(( I hate it when that happens:=(( Been there on ebay a time or two when things are slow loading. Not sure if it was their servers or my ISP, but it was too slow!!

Too bad you missed out on the sander. Really the pits that they had to have this auction. Janesville is a changed town with GM gone and all the supporting industry gone or going.

Laughing with ya Jim.

I whole heartedly agree with you Gary, the fact that this auction even had to occur really sucks.

When I was a kid my Dad was laid off from the AC Spark Plug/Delco Electronics Plant in Oak Creek after nearly 20 years, I know what it is first hand family wise.

I always wanted a Delta Sanding Center but I’m not willing to pay what they want. When I saw that old Delta I went wow, was even willing to pop a few hundred bucks for it, when I saw what it went for my heart sank. So I went for the Jet, I was willing to go close to twice what I paid for it, so that was a nice surprise.

I went for that blue DP thinking I could use that table on my Delta VS DP, but now I think it’s a 17” and I have a 15”, might work might not. But that gray one is a 15” and I’m pretty confident that it’s table will work.

Looks like my Evopa Rust will be getting more use.

So in my quest for that design table, I have a Delta 14” DP, a Delta 15” DP and a Delta 17” DP. Surplus. Not to mention my current benchtop DP that the Delta 15” VS will be replacing. Looks like I’ll be in the restoration process a bit longer. Anyone in the market for a drill press? ;)
