The only 100% non toxic wood floor stain are those made with natural dyes extracted from plants.

One of our twin daughters has allergies real bad. We put wood floors, Cherry, in our den and kitchen. I sprayed a waterborne clear stain on the boards and let them dry for a week. I then sprayed a waterborne clear finish on the boards made especially for wood floors. The best I can remember I got both from SW.

16 years later the floors look better than when we installed them, has some upkeep to then, and daughter has had no allergic reaction to the only Sycamore, so all Sycamore trees have been cut down within about 75 yards of our home.
