Have a question for all of you. When you go online to search for woodworking tools, once you get into a website how do you start searching. Do you go straight to the search bar, or do you find it easier to go by category?

that depends , if I’m looking for a specific tool – I’ll put it in the search bar, and see if it’s available, but if I’m looking for a certain type of tool, I’ll use the categories and see what’s available to choose from.

I am a bit of a browser…. I mean I can’t get in and out of woodcraft in less then say an hour…. I just have to look at everything in case I miss something….

but I will second what Purp said …. if I know the tool I am looking for and am say comparing prices or trying to find the reviews on amazon I will type in the maker and the model number…..

but then this all depends on the site you are looking at…..

Categories work better for me, that way you discover what other tools they offer.
