Yesterday the creek was starting to clear up, not quite so muddy and the first small flock of redwinged
blackbirds showed up to start emptying the birdfeeder and left before I could get their picture, here is
what it looked like, only the woodpecker stayed for the suet.

This morning I get up and have to shovel about 1-1/2” of crusty snow off my front deck.

The blackbirds are going to have to feed quite a bit to keep warm for a few days, but they sound nice
in the mornings when the nest in the trees by the creek, but as soon as the nestlings fledge they leave.
It is supposed to be back up to 45 or better by Tuesday, and by the middle of March we should have a
definite maybe Spring. Turned the heat on in the shop after I walked down and got the paper from
the tube, so I guess I will go play for a while.

Gus, Your snow will melt rapidly. And you have a great view. Used to live in Little Rock, and two inches of snow shut traffic down. Now I am in MN. Too intrenched to leave. GRRRRR! and Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!
