Hi folks, new member here. I recently purchased this table saw and am wondering what this piece of the back is. It’s 1/8” rod/wire bent in the shape you see, it’s right in front of the motor, doesn’t look like its part of the belt guard brackets. Maybe some of you might have an idea. I think your link is to the wrong picture..
Is this what you are referring to?

Kind of hard to tell what it is we are looking at with that picture. If I were to take a guess, it might be turned the wrong way and should go down and hook under the belt below it.

I’m guessing that from one of your previous posts that it’s a model 103.22451 saw that looks like:

(Found at the VM site)

Couldn’t find a manual for that exact model, but did find one similar. From one of the pictures, it looks like what you were asking about is part of the belt guard which is apparently missing on yours:

Shown above as the “belt guard bracket”.
