Is there a way to import/export from blogging software like Wordpress?

I was thinking the same thing. I was about to make my own site and blog, but then it would get pretty old having to copy things back and forth… so for now I just stick with LJ… it’s already organized, and setup to use, and has the community that goes with it.

but it would be nice if it would be possible to sync those 2 together.

I’ve tossed up this idea once before and heard nothing. I’ve written my own blog software, and have done a moderate job of linking and posting stuff back and forth between my various sites, but I’d really like an API so that I can push blog posts here automagically.

Hey Jon, there is now LJ API at the moment. However there are many RSS import tools for the Wordpress platform so you may try one of those. Your LJ blog already features RSS feed so it should be easy to import these posts to your Wordpress. I’m sure that one of the tools supports auto-updates too.

I’ll have to try that Martin. I’ve got to unbury myself at work and get back into the workshop, I’ve been gone so long my tools are crying for me! Then I’ll dig in and see if I can achieve my dream of triple publishing to LJ, Woodnet, and Wordpress in one fell swoop =)
