I made my first router table insert for my table saw. I Routed out the space for the router plate and got a little sloppy. Too much space.

My dad use to GLASS LINE Rifle stocks and I think thats would be perfect to make my router table insert fit tight as a drum.

Any other suggestions

If all the “slop” is lateral i.e. side-to-side, then bedding or glass lining similar to bedding a rifle action would work very nicely. Just be sure to apply a release agent such as Pam spray or vaseline etc to your insert so that the epoxy will not stick to the plate.
