I have seen gorgeous projects lately using bending plywood and a product called italian poplar bending ply. I have scoured the internet and can’t find it anywhere. Anyone here know where I can get either on line? thanks

A friend of mine jsut bought a sheet at a local store (don’t know which). You’re right – it’s hard to find it on the internet. I did find one source online:

You might try a local lumber store – one that carries a lot of plywood…

You also need to know the orientation you want – you get a ply that bends along its width, and one that bends along its length.

For professional woodworkers in the Chicago area, Raynor Rinn Scott stocks it. I’ve been told they don’t sell to personal accounts.

Some companies specify it as “barrel” or “column”. Barrel rolls up along the length. Column bends around the width.

Also in Chicago area, Owl Hardwoods. And they do sell to individuals.
