I made a little V-Day gift for my Primary Girlfriend.. The heart is made of hickory. It was the ONLY hard wood I could find within 100 miles than had any Personality to it at all. I would of rather use Zebra wood or rosewood or something like that.

I would of like Zebra wood or another extoic but those are over 100 miles away andI hate to order any Exotics without seeing them first

Also I would of liked to do uo a few coats of Water based sanding sealer and a few coats of high gloss Water poly but only had time for a few coats of lacquer

Garbanzo – try Peterman Lumber. They are just off of Russell Rd. and Arville. They have a lot of exotics in stock. They also have access to other inventory in So. Cal. I just asked them for some Cocobolo on Monday and picked it up today.

I found some great Cocobolo rose wood on E-bay of all places. I have no idea where some of these old times hoard so much great wood
