Don’t know if anyone is interested in this or not, but if you live in central to east central Texas, I found this on craigslist last night. I can not vouch for the quality or the place, but it seems like a good deal.

1 1/8 thick , 12” wide, at least 8 ft long, over five hundred pieces. $15 each. You can not buy a 1×4x8 at your local lumber yard for that.

That price is pretty common from local sawyers these days. Seems they can barely give red oak away.

Man, not around here. Of course we don’t have any local saw mills. So things like red oak is from the local lumder yard =$$$$$

Yes he’s asking almost $2.00 a BD ft. If it’s green it seems a little high from a sawmill.
