We are moving to a house with limited space. I am going to downsize my shop equipment. Going forward I expect to rely more on my Shopsmith.

I can vaguely recall seeing a device for a Shopsmith that provided lift assistance with springs. I am looking for it now and I cannot find it.

Does anyone recall this and can anyone provide guidance on where to buy one.

I had them on mine way back when I owned one. Great addition!

You can buy them direct from shopsmith at $125.00

Or, for much cheaper, I’d go to ebay and search “shopsmith Casters” and you will get several sets from 40-50 bucks.

I don’t think you are likely talking about the factory job.
I saw a link to this guy lately, may have been here. He has some interesting DIY ideas. Maybe that is what you saw.
