Has any one who has built the 3 in 1 crib from wood magazine had trouble fitting a crib mattress?? Maybe it is just the mattress we picked up, but it seemed way too tight lengthwise. For all I know it could just be the mattress. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

i’ll give this a bump by giving you my own story. I built a crib from plans, but assumed all mattresses would fit the crib. I ended up with a 2” gap on each side. Obviously, that wasn’t safe, so I’m in the process of cutting up the headboard and footboard to make it narrower. I hope you get the answer you are looking for.

There,s supposed to be industry standards for matress sizes (yeah right) Buy your mattress first before making any bed. My queen size is 2 inchs too long, but i can,t be bothered fixing it now .
