Trying to figure out if and how I can use Blum hinges on a face frame with inset doors.

I’ve seen these

http://www.isaaclord.co.uk/productDetail.aspx?product=692&subCat=39&parentCat=1/5/366/39

but they mount on the front of the face frame, for overlay doors.

If anyone has any ideas (and a product number) I would be a happy camper.

Thanks!

EDIT: I think I found what I’m looking for. Blum specs these for inset doors:

http://www.isaaclord.co.uk/productDetail.aspx?product=1079&subCat=67

along with this mounting plate with the 3mm spacing

http://www.isaaclord.co.uk/productDetail.aspx?product=678&subCat=40

This is on pp 96 and 97 of their 2009 hinge catalog. (http://www.blum.com/pdf/katalog/ka090_en/02/KA090-KP-002.pdf) – this is a 17Mb download, careful.

Any comments or confirmation would be really helpful.

Thanks again!

Blum Hinges never mount on the face frame front the way you show. They always mount to the inside edge of the face frame. THe hinges you referred to are for blind corners and not for inset doors. No time now as I have to head to work but I will come back and try to help yopu with what you need.

Thanks, that would be great. I was simply going by the Blum catalog recommendation for inset doors.

Here are links to the two Blum catalog pages:

They’re too big to display here without messing up the format.
