New here. I have not found how to do searches on a forum or forums.

Near the top right hand corner of the content area you should see a search bar.

OK. I’m still confused on how to filter search results to a particular forum.

For instance:
Power Tools, Hardware and Accessories Forum

You can’t do it easily. You may be able to set up a Google Custom Search, but I’ve never tried.

you can also do the following in google:

site:lumberjocks.com search term or terms -what you don’t want

example
site:lumberjocks.com display case -flag
will search lumberjocks for display case and not return anything with the word flag in it.
