My wife and I are remodeling the kitchen in a condo we recently purchased. We are going to paint the doors, drawers and face frames on the kitchen cabinets, to give the kitchen a more modern look.
I would like to replace the conventional hinges with Euro-style hinges. I purchased a set of the Blum Euro-style for a face-frame cabinet 110 degree hinges from Rockler to experiment with. I would say the quality of these hinges are “okay”, but they did not blow me away, either.
I visited the Blum website, and downloaded their catalog. I think their Model 38N looks better than the ones Rockler sells, but that is a guess on my part. I’m also not sure if the “compact” hinges give me any useful benefit over the conventionally-sized hinges.
So, does anyone have any recommendations for Euro-style hinges for face-frame cabinets? I plan to leave the cabinets in place on the wall, so ease of installation is also important.
Thanks for any guidance on this issue.
