At an air show in New Zealand this weekend will be a plane that last flew 90 yrs ago. Built in New Zealand from scratch with an original engine. it,s a credit to those that constructed it. Anyone who loves old planes needs to check out this site
For those with their feet firmly on the ground I found this very nice tandem bicycle on cnet The quality is pretty special. A quick google of wooden bicycle brings up some interesting projects. There,s a whole wide world of woodworking out there.

That is pretty cool. Reminds me of the British Mosquito Bomber in WWII. Made mostly of wood, and was one of the most successful fighter/bombers of the war. The bike is pretty cool too. I remember seeing that about a year ago when I was just surfing around. Some woods, pound for pound, stronger then steel or aluminum. You don’t see them much anymore, but I know that there were bike rims made of wood. As we all are aware, wood is an amazing product, it can do a lot of amazing things.
