I’m looking for an adhesive backed measuring tape for my table saw fence rail, 1” wide 4’ long. Anyone know a good place to buy one?

Good morning
McMaster Carr has them in vinyl and metal, left and right numbered for about $10 each.
Cheers, Les

I bought a pretty decent one at the local walmart, in their sewing section. It is for sticking to a table for dress making but it works just as good for wood work. cost about $1.50

Most I see are 3/4” x a standard length that you cut down.

If you could use a 3/4” tape Tim, give me a call as I have out of package tapes that I’ll just pop in an envelope and mail free of charge.

BTW, Standard? Standard & Metric?

I believe that the ones McMaster sells are Oregon Rule Co. Which I highly recommend.

Orgeo rule and starrett should carry what you need. McMaster is a great resource too, they carry a ton of stuff that is useful around the shop.

The people over at Kreg’s sell a great tape, I’ve purchased a couple of them for various machines and work tables. Check out there web site….Blkcherry

I forgot to add that Oregon Rule Co.’s stuff is Made in the USA. It’s gotten to the point that I just refuse to purchase something unless it states where it is made.

I’m not against buying some Chinese products but there is too much hassle in the return it again and again until you get one that is made right. Like my recent experience with Grizzly and a basic on off switch. Couldn’t get the dang thing to stay in the on position, 2 times. I just gave up, no more grizzly for me.

Have your say...
