Depending on it’s age the equipment may be poorly maintained. Parts on older Powermatic are hard to find. I know the some of the powermatic equipment we sold at auction we could not get parts. Another thing most school equipment is three phase.

Personally I would not hesitate on buying since most of the older PM equip I have owned has been good. And mostly bearings or other minor parts for repair can be sourced.

If you look closely at the woodworking items (click the lower pic for a larger photo) they are not in great shape. It looks like they were kept outside for a while due to the rust i’m seeing.

Lol. I have not looked closely. If the auction were closer id be tempted. Likely good prices will be had.
