To everyone interested in Deni’s beautiful rosewood. Deni & I have been trying out how to get his wood to us. I live near Denver Colorado which is fairly central. If somebody knows of a cost effective way to get the wood shipped here I am willing to play distribution center at no charge. UPS here in the states should be reasonable. I would have to ask the LJs who are interested to help cover shipping to me and then cover their UPS orders. I’m sure that someone out there knows a way to help us all get some of this beautiful wood. at $5.00 a foot how can we pass this offer up.
Please let Deni or me Al Bibbero – Bibbero@comcast.net know how we can make this happen.

This brain fart is a work in progress. If we can get an expert to help us with shipping we will work out the logistics after that. I have no idea how to make this happen but I hate to let this opportunity get away. If anybody out there can help…

I can ask my logistics coordinator about getting together an overseas shipment. Probably what I would need is location of origin, estimated shipment weight, overall dimensions, etc. I can then start looking at the best methods for transport.

That being said, would a smaller load be ok? A 20ft container is a lot of material.

I just sent Rosewood a request for more detailed information. Once I get that I have 5 companies ready to quote shipping costs via boat. My company already does alot of international shipping as a large automotive supplier, so I should be able to get some good rates and maybe even get some shipping combined with work related stuff to reduce some of the costs even more. But, once again… need to review the detailed information first.

To all LJs interested in the rosewood. Deni has asked me to compile a list of folks who will be interested in getting some. We are going to limit the orders to 50 bd ft to ensure that everybody who wants some will have an opportunity. This will be a one time deal since I am not a reseller or dealer, just a modest dust maker.

If you would like to get on the list please reply to this blog with your specifics; name, contact info and # of Bd Ft you are willing to commit to. I will contact folks whenever we receive the shipment. All buyers will be respinsible for paying for shipping. I’m thinking about setting up a Pay-Pal account to manage the $$. I have never done that but it’s time to give it a try.

Of course this all hinges on getting help with the importing and shipping. Tearen is investigating options for us. Thanks Tearen

As stated previously, I am very excited to be counted in this effort and I can’t wait to start making my own projects with it.

I think that all of us that are interested, will be better able to aver our interest when the final figures of freight costs, and import taxes are available.

Thanks to bibb and Tearen in doing the leg work…gawd this is awsome looking wood.

also…can I assume this is green, rough cut lumber…or?

I can’t help in any other way except to buy some, but I’ll definitely do that!

My wife and friends are already making plans of things they want created from this beautiful stuff.

Keep us up to date on the progress of the effort.
