Due to the archaic and difficult to work with Felder Owner Forum that has been active on Yahoo for the last 14 years, we have created a NEW and modern forum for discussions, reviews, and questions regarding the machinery from Austrian Woodworking Manufacturer Felder Group.

The brands encompassed by the group are Hammer, Felder, and Format 4. The site has a number of features including info, reviews, maintenance support, fun, games, and general comeradere.

You are invited to check out the forum, and if you have ANY interest in participating, we hope that you will join as a member and give us your insights, questions, techniques, critiques, and general interaction. Don’t just lurk! Join!

We look forward to your participation. Forum at: http://www.hammerfelderowners.com Live as of 30 JAN 15.

Cheers,

Frank Trinkle

Thanks for the heads up. I may need to take a look soon since I’ve acquired an Altendorf F-90.

It’s a great-looking saw. Still waiting on the electrician to give me a quote on a 3-phase panel so I can use it instead of just looking at it.

Why a 3 phase panel? Does this mean you have 3 phase power available from the power pole and don’t need a phase converter?

Correct. We’re trying to avoid the converter if possible. Future expansion plans could result in quite a few pieces of 3-phase equipment that might run at the same time.

We’re still waiting on the electrical company to contact us to confirm they will make the drop. However, we do know that 3-phase is available on a pole located a mere 20 feet from our building. It’s not the same pole that we get our single phase drop from so we need confirmation from the utility company before moving forward.

I think the last snow slowed them down so the engineer hasn’t made it out to look at our situation.
