Hi,

I have just been given my first Burr. It is abot 14 inches across.

My question is, how do I cut it into usable wood / lumber?

I have never cut up wood from the round before and don’t want to waste it.

I know about using a bandsaw, it’s the where to cut bit I want advice on. Do I qtr cut it, slice it thin for veneeer, or ….

Any advice greatfully recieved
