I do a lot of pattern template work with flush trim bits, pattern bits and guide bushings. I just bought a new Bosch Colt with a fixed and plunge base. I want to buy a sub base for guide bushings for the fixed base; and I currently use both the PC bushings as well as the Bosch RA bushings on my larger routers. The sub base offered by Bosch for the RA guides looks a little goofy, like you have to take it off every time you want to change guide bushings. Does anyone use this sub base, and do you have to remove it to change the guide bushings? If that is the case, I think I might be better off getting the sub base that fits PC bushings for the fixed base. The plunge base is no problem because the template guide adaptor for the RA bushings screws right to the base, like on my 1617. Any thoughts and clarifications would be helpful. Thanks
