Hi, I just got my ridgid spindle sander and The sanding sleeves move but when you touch them to wood, They stop spining.What can I do?wait a minute, I mean only the sleeve stops, the spindle is moving like it should, Thanks for any advice.

did you tighten the spindle enough ? sounds like the sleeve is too loose on the spindle, there should be some screw to compress the rubber spindle which grabs a hold of the sleeve… prob. explained in the user manual?

Are you using the washer on top of the spindle that compresses the rubber drum over which the sanding sleeve fits?
