I’d love to hear some feedback from anyone who has made the Mission chairs that have been in several Wood Mag publications. Considering this plan for an upcoming dining set build, and I’d like to not build a prototype.

So, if you’ve built them, are they comfy? Would you change anything?

Thanks, Red

Oh, I’m gonna make some chairs like that. The table will be much cooler though;) I’m sure I’ll post it all on the Furniture makers forum.

I built some of the chair design by Rodel. So have a lot of people on LJs.
Just search for Rodel Chair on this site and you will see a lot. You can get full size plans and there are videos on Fine Woodworking covering all the angled mortises etc.

It’s a nice mission chair.

Great minds and all that Steve. I acutally used the Rodel design as a starting point for my own dining chairs. I just tweaked some design elements.

They are some stout chairs. I have not doubt that they are the reason my these folks are trusting me to make their dining set.
