I’ve seen several plans for different kinds of jigs that call for adhesive backed sandpaper. Every place I checked didn’t have a clue about what I was talking about. Suggestions?

PSA sandpaper on Amazon (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive)

I buy all my sanding supplies from Klingspor’s Woodworking—http://www.woodworkingshop.com/. They stock PSA sheets and rolls.

As PurpLev said, what you are looking for is called PSA (Pressure Sensitive Adhesive). It comes in rolls and circles- for random orbital sanders.

Lowes often stocks it in a couple grits.
