It’s a 3D modeling program. It just helps you visualize the finished shape?

Hmmm … looks like a solution in search of a problem.

I suppose it could be helpful to some people but could also be done without. I guess that a lot depends on the price.

It is free, so I guess it is worth what you pay for it.

My point is that you still have to transmit the ‘plan’ to the wood.

The BETA is free :) And read the license.. any pattern you make becomes Public Domain??!

Cheers,
Brad

PS: Won’t run on my ‘puter anyway, so I won’t be trying it out any time soon.

So downloaded the program and tried it. I am sure did not download everything needed or mentioned in instructions. Played with it for about ten minutes closed the program and could not bring it back up later. So deleted it this morning because do not need it.

While Lath Magic not for me think it is an outstanding program for what you can do with it. Really think woodturners more computer savvy than myself will have a lot of fun with it. If one of your patterns or drawings ends up in the public domain so what?

Every picture of my turnings I post on the internet is in public domain. If anyone wants to turn some of those things I would be honored. Please take and post better pictures than I do!
