Topic tags/keywords: laughter fun joke humor

I became confused when I heard the word “service” used with these agencies.

Internal Revenue ‘Service’

U.S. Postal ‘Service’

Telephone ‘Service’

Cable TV ‘Service’

Civil ‘Service’

State , City, County & Public ‘Service’

Customer ‘Service’

This is not what I thought “service” meant.

But today, I overheard two farmers talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to “service” a few cows.

BAM !!! It all came into focus. Now I understand what all those agencies are doing to us.

Now you are as enlightened as I am….............................Have a wonderful day

That makes a lot of sense! Charter Cable just announced they were filing for Bankruptcy, and the news reported it while adding that customer service will not change because of this. That’s a shame, because we really do need something better than what we are stuck with. Anyone here who has Charter for their cable, probably knows of the problems with their “service”.

Jerry: You certainly can’t think that those of us who went into government service did it for the money! 8^)

Hi Jerry;

Always suspected, but never certain.

It’s especially nice when you can get professional confirmation, (see Bureaucrat’s comment).

It’s cooperation like this between L.J’s that make this site work so well. LOL

And some of us are old enough to remember “Selective Service”. And they did the selection.

By the way, that was the draft for those of you to young to know.

With this thinking we should go back to calling gas stations… “service stations”.
