Looking for advice. Is there any value in dead standing pine trees? Would it make sense to have the logged and sent to a lumber yard for future projects? If so, does anyone know the cost in cutting and hauling to a lumberyard? Or is it cheaper to buy at a lumberyard?

You might be better off seeing if there is a local sawyer who will come to you with a portable saw mill. Dead standing pine is a nice product. You will probably have some nice blue stained pine.

Even in my Northerly location, White and Red Pine, cut and dead, are quickly attacked by boring insects. Before you spend time and money on these dead trees strip off sections of bark to ascertain insect damage.
