I purchased a vintage 1/8” Buck Bros. tang chisel that is in good condition except that the handle is a bit loose. (I can remove the tang from the handle, but the fit is otherwise pretty snug.) Is there any way to tighten the fit without using epoxy or other permanent adhesive? Thanks.

Drill out the hole, glue in a dowel, redrill the hole.

Use a long shaving and then glue it to the loose handle itself. Provide enough wrappings on the handle for a good snug fit.
