The following link is to FWW and a really cool video of some woodowrkers from sweden in the early 20’s. Its silent and kinda cool. Its about 15 minutes and really shows that you dont need all the fancy tools of today.

Pretty impressive. I didn’t get to see the entire chair making part because the video froze but I got the point. The difference between those people and todays society is that they were anxious to work, not lazy, and didn’t mind the labor. Todays society relies on technology not only because its faster but because it’s simpler and takes a lot less brains. Instead of knowing how to physically make the project and the techniques you just need to know how to push a button. And yet people still complain about a back ache. It’s a shame. I’m glad that some of the lumberjocks still try the old techniques. To cool.
