Topic tags/keywords: humor I know you have all been waiting for the final report on the racoons. I truly wish it were more exciting, but alas, it isn’t. After two days of waiting for the mountain lion poop to do it’s job I resorted to torture. I put a radio in the bathtub, covered it with a blanket (which didn’t really help I might add) and put on the “revival” station. I suffered right along with the racoons, sometimes you just have to take one for the cause! After about 12 hours of that stuff non-stop, I think they actually packed up that night and left. But, just to be sure, I suffered through it for another day. I have never been so happy to go back to work as I was on that Monday morning! So, it’s been a week now, no more noises, fights or massacres under my house. Happy days…life is good. -- Robin, California |

Congratulations. I presume you have fixed things so that they can never get in again. -- Gary D. Stoughton, WI |

Somehow, this calls to mind the lyrics of an old song from about 35 years ago called “Rocky Racoon”. “Rocky Racoon checked into his room, only to find Gideon’s bible. -- Charlie M. "Woodworking - patience = firewood" |

You are too funny. I am sooo glad you got your dilemma dealt with! And I am glad you kept us up to date. And CharlieM1958 I pretty much think put the cap onto the story, LOL!!! Well its all taken care of and I am sure you have had quality sleep this week. LOL!!! By the way what’s the weather like in your neck of the woods. We got spring snow! Gee what fun!!! -- Allison, Northeastern Ca. Remember, Amateurs built the Ark. Professionals built the Titanic! |

I take it from your tone that you will not be giving glowing referrals for the “Terminator” who recommended/used the Mountain Lion poop. And, who knew the words of a radio preacher could exorcise that type of demon? Thanks for sharing your story and giving us all a laugh along the way! -- Lew- Time traveler. Yes, Bureaucrat, I put a new screen on with razor wire (just kidding) and Charlie I too remember Rocky Racoon, thanks for the memories. Allison, glad you enjoyed the story…it has been raining for two days, but we had sunshine before that..spring snow…can’t say I miss that. And Lew, no, I will not be recommending people call wildlife rescue, I will instead give them the number of the radio station. Thanks all… -- Robin, California |

I can’t really have your problem because my house is on a slab. My brother had your problem and got rid of the critters with noise. However, I’d swap anytime for the little experience I had with a skunk in the house. Believe me, noise won’t work on those little fella’s. And, unlike coons, when a skunk has made his way out of the house, he leaves a distinct reminder of his presence. -- Gary, DeKalb Texas only 4 miles from the mill |
