Topic tags/keywords: planer woodtec electric motor

Wanting to find out where I can get a 5hp motor for a Woodtec 21 inch planer. Found plenty on eBay just don’t know how many rpm’s it needed to be. Also wondering what kind of pully system they have. I have found the Woodtec planer for cheap but needs a motor. The guy said he thought it had a 5hp motor but didn’t know anything else about it. Any help would be appreciated.

Tommy yes it is like the one you posted a link for. The guy said it was a 21 inch but obviously he is wrong. Daddywoofdog thanks for letting me know of the miss spell. I’m using my phone right now and my big thumb don’t always hit what I want them to.

Looks like a 4” double sheave on the motor in the picture.

That’s a standard motor mount, the most common style. You
won’t have much trouble modifying any 3400rpm motor with
a base to fit the mounting shelf.

Have your say...
