I need to JOINT some 4×4 pine on my table saw since I don’t have a JOINTER. I need to true up some stocks. I got the best ones at Menards had but as you all know they are far from square and true.

I have seen and watched some videos where they use a so called SLED to make the first TRUE cut on a table saw for stock BUT not as deep as 4×4.

I could make a sled where the 4×4 sat on top of a 3/4 thick sled BUT that means my 10 inch TS and blade can not cut all the way through the 4×4 stock.

Any suggestion on how I can use a 10inch TS as a make true squared up cuts on 4×4 stock

You have a planer? Make a sled for it?

You couldn’t make this, modified, on a 1/2” sled to cut through the 4×4?
