Topic tags/keywords: miter glass doors rout router question

I need to rout a couple of panels out of some cabinet doors. This is something I have done many times before, but these particular doors pose a new issue for me to contend with. The door is a mitered door and on the back inside of the frame, a concealed metal fastener is installed to strengthen the miter. I have tried to just pull these out with a plier, but have been unsucessful. Does anyone have any thoughts as to the best way to deal with these fasteners without hurting myself or my tools?

Could you cut them with a dremel?
