My brother in law just bought one for his shop. You certainly can do amazing things with them.
VERY expensive toy mind you but his goal is to turn a profit with it making various items.
The accuracy is incredible for cutting things out and lazer etching. I’m jealous.. and tryin now to figure out
if I wanna take the plunge..:)

I think you hit the nail on the head when you said “expensive toy”. I guess I should preface that by saying – for the woodworking weekend warrior.

I think the biggest market, in woodworking, for this device is in custom advertising imprints on wood.

I use one for laser engraving photos and lettering on my projects. They are very expensive, but awesome….Wish I had my own…..What type of equipment did he get?
