I am am finishing up with an extension to the back of my garage for my workshop. I am putting in an 8’ opening between the garage and shop that I was going to install sliding barn doors. Was wondering if anyone had done this and was looking for plans to get started. They would probably be modified as I got going. Let me know if any of you have any plans you’d like to share.

Cy—I have sliding barn doors on my shop. Unfortunately, I don’t have any plans. I’d be glad to get specific measurements at your request, though.

I would need two doors each around 4’ x 7’. Was wondering on the thickness, and if I would need to insulate them, since I live in the north? The shop will be heated and insulated but the garage is not.

The hardware can bought as a kit, then you build a door to fit your barn. You don’t need plans for this.
