You might want to try Woodfinder.com. This may be helpful in finding a source in your area. Another option is to keep an eye on Craigslist. I have found some good lumber deals in my area.

It’s not New Jersey, but if you ever get out towards Harrisburg or Hershey, PA, there’s a great mill close by. Marshall’s Wood Products http://www.marshallswoodproducts.com/ in Grantville, PA, is right on Rt 22 and just off I-81. You can run out I-78, which merges into I-81.

I buy almost all my hardwoods from them, at very good prices. Family run place, good people!
