I have an opportunity to buy a Pro 40 Vega rip fence for $150 brand new in the box. I have read some reviews and they were mostly positive. Has anyone had any major issues with it? I will be installing it on an early 90’s model Delta contractor’s table saw. I would prefer to have the Bismeyer fence, but the budget will not allow at this time. I like the idea of having a 40 inch rip fence. What are your thoughts?

I have the VEGA Utility 40, on a C’man 113 TS.
It came with the saw, when I purchased it off of Craigslist.
I called VEGA and they were very helpful….
As I went through the installation of In-Line industries PALS and getting the saw to tilt to 45 degrees.
(There was an interference issue, between the back rail & the splitter/blade guard support bracket.)
They also, immediately sent out the owner’s manual, at no charge.
That is great customer service & shows that they stand by their product.

The fence moves/slides easily…. then locks down tight. I like the micro adjustment feature, also. I am very pleased/impressed with the fence. However, I really have nothing to compare it to….

The Vega is a very good quality fence. I’m not sure about the price, but as far as a good fence for your Delta, you’ll be happy with the Vega.

I have one installed on my old Craftsman. It is an excellent fence, and your price is a great price. Amazon has it for $280 if I remember right.

I had to drill two holes on the back edge of the saw table to make it fit, but otherwise it was no problem. It is dead nuts accurate which is a real joy after the stock Craftsman fence. That one is utter junk, and moves around like a bowl of jello.
