I have a huge pile of doubles and extras in my collection of mostly vintage hand tools and am looking for a few I don’t have but if you’re local to Calgary and you have something to swap sell or are looking for something in particular I will gladly have a cup of coffee in the shop with you. I am always looking for off-cuts of exotic woods for handles and such or bigger pieces of hardwoods for furniture making…so I’d even trade for that.

Veneer scrapers, plough planes jointers , Stanley, Diston, Eskilstuna, Union, Keen Kutter, you name it , I probabbly have two and will consider trade or sale.

Hi blueeyes, I’m fairly new to woodworking and don’t have many hand tools. What extras are you willing to to get rid of? I’m in Prince George, BC so shipping shouldn’t be too bad.

Never had a use for a circular plane, sorry fella, I got used to spokeshaving and stopped there, but I’ll ask around I have a friend who lives a couple of hours out of town in his eighties who has been hoarding old stanley millers falls and record tools in his his two over stuffed barns for thirty years whose kids have no interest whatsoever, he has thousands of items jst staying dry in those barns and we get together a couple of times a year I can ask him about your circular plane…and if I knew how to post a picture in the forum that’d help answer alot of the questions private or otherwise that I get about old tools

Mitre trimmers you can get cheap like dirt on ebay if you don’t mind cleaning the non cutting areas the sexy new looking numbers often get ten times their rusty counterparts, again I’ll go to the barn and root around see if I can find one or two though., Chisel planes yes. And for the one fella I’d part with all of it for a good price , half the fun is finding them sometime, and talking to the old fellas who bought em new if I can to learn the little tricks they kept secret in their working years, if somebody knows how to post a picture on here I’d appreciate the help.

I collect record planes, 50’s or earlier, so would be great if you visit your buddy and see what is available there…

I would love to find a good low angle block plane. I have a 110, but would like something with an adjustment screw.
