Hey guys

I’m Stuck in Germany on business for two weeks. I’ve been to several lumber yards and hardware stores but have not been able to find a woodworkers type store anyware. You would think that a country this famous for all its wooden carvings and such would have them every were. I even went to Triberg home of Coco clocks and was able to only speak to one carver. All I got from there was a lecture aon the diffrense in master carvers work and foreign imports.. Any suggestions would love to look at another countrys stores I’m sure that there are a lot of similarities. There are als some subtle differences.

Thanks

Having not been to Germany, I do not know where you would go. But, it seems like a great time to find the Festool factory and load up on some goodies. Tell them you need a lot of Dominos for your Lumberjock buddies!!!!

A few hundred Bosch routers and saws for your buddies would be nice gifts too!

In every German ville there is a central market place. The “volksplatz(not sure of the spelling)” or “der Markt”. It is uaually in the center of the town and radiating out from this center you will find specialty shops. You may find a cabinet maker or other craftsman that could point you in a direction. Hope this helps.

Let us know how your search turned out. Have fun. I miss Germany. As an American Serviceman I loved it there in the late 80’s and early 90’s. I hope the info I gave you still holds true. Alot of the country seems time less at times. Prost!
