Welcome to Lumberjocks

I don’t have any experience with that particular lathe, but I am sure there are plenty of folks here that have.

Oh, press that little key just left of the “A” key. :)

Usually, all caps is considered raising your voice or yelling. I’m sure you don’t want to yell at us….. yet… Welcome to the site. I can’t help you with the lathe you asked about but I can say that I own several Grizzly tools and am happy with all of them. Excellent customer service.

The Grizzly G0462 Wood Lathe is the lathe I use. I would not recommend it. Don’t get me wrong, I have made some fairly nice pieces on it. However, I wish I had never purchased it. In one year I have replaced the belt around 10 times, replaced all bearings, replaced the tool rest, and replaced the tail stock hand wheel twice. The tail stock and head stock do not align, it vibrates, and is noisy.

I have the 1067Z. While it is no HD production unit, and the slow speed is still a little fast for some projects, it has proven to be a value, and a well made addition to my arsenal. Head and tail stocks were dead on out of the box. I keep the VS assy. as clean and dust free as possible. No probs there.
