I was so bummed that I missed the Boston show… I only found out about it 1 day after it ended. I was considering going to the NJ one, but the ~5 hours drive to it kinda puts me off… maybe I’ll wait for the CT show next week. PS. while on the subject – do the exhibitors usually have good sale deals on these shows that are worth the trip? (besides being drugged out by all the woodworking in the air) -- When in doubt - There is no doubt - Go the safer route. |

I am exhibiting at the Somerset show. I know several other lumberjocks are planning on showing up. If you come to the show, make sure you stop by the booth and introduce yourself. There are some deals to be had at the show but you need to keep in mind that the dealers at the show are competing with the internet sales giants that don’t have to carry the stuff in inventory or pay knowledgable people to sell the stuff, or pay booth rent for that matter. The advantage they have over the net is, you can get hand-on with most of the tools. From my perspective, this is a pretty good show. I don’t think you’ll be dissapointed with the vendors or some of the deals. -- Chuck Bender, period furniture maker, www.acanthus.com |
