In an African country that speaks predominantly French, Swahili, and English, there is a Chinese restaurant that charges in US Dollars.

Obviously there are some translation issues, but there are some items I wouldn’t order:

$8 for Hot & Soup Soup

$8 for Preserved
Preserved WHAT????

$8 for Stir Chicken Stomach in Chill Sauec (YUK)

And then in the Peculiarity Section (like these others aren’t Peculiar?)
we have Chicken Fish (say what?) in Soya Sauce for $25

There are a few more oddities in these pages that I haven’t specified, see if you can find some

:-)

Nice ones PG Zac!

If you don’t know them by now, you are going to enjoy these sites (profanity advisory though):

Engrish — This is the oldest and the best of them all. It’s just hilarious. There’s also an imitator, way less fun but where you can still found some fine pearls. It’s called Engrish Funny.

Engrish being endemic from Japan and China, I’ve even provided some stuff for the former, I come across tons of examples every day.

In this country Chicken foot costs 44 cents US and is particularly bad with or without salt, trust me, but i,m wondering if the pickled chicken stomach is like the worlds smallest Haggis? maybe not. Fish pill???

Jojo My filipina wife loved that site, english can be amusing in my house

Being that I just had ANOTHER birthday, I’d probably have 2, maybe 3 orders of “Preserved.”
