Topic tags/keywords: question

On jet/performax drum sanders, I have noticed that some use the term plus as in (16/32plus).
I wonder what this is and does it make it better. Can anyone help me on this? Thanks in advance.

This is a wide belt sander that is open on one end. It will sand up to 16” in width with one pass and by rotating the panel, lumber etc. around and making another pass with the unsanded side the tool will sand to a total capacity of 32”.
